Position Summary:

Provide study coordination and/or technical laboratory expertise to assist in carrying out a hospital-centered clinical trial study of antimicrobials fabrics. The Study Coordinator will be expected to:

• Prepare & maintain study location for conducting study related activities
• Prepare all required documentation prior to nursing shifts, and immediately following nursing shifts
• Complete activity-related questionnaires in conjunction with nursing staff
• Conduct pre- and post-shift microbial swabbing of nursing scrubs while donned, at pre-determined times throughout a 7-day shift schedule, over a period of ~4-6 weeks
• Prepare all specimen vials for collection
• Swab the donned scrubs of up to 100 nurses per day, with approximately 6-swabs per nurse, both prior to shift initiation and following shift conclusion
• Swab the donned scrubs of both males and female participants
• Produce all necessary documentation and records on collected specimens, including records of swabbing sites, time of collection, vial labelling and shift questionnaires
• Prepare all specimens for submission to testing laboratory including required labelling and documentation
• Facilitate specimen transportation with laboratory
• Other duties as assigned

Work Conditions/Schedule:

The Study Coordinator will need to be available at designated times throughout a 24-hour shift schedule, 7-days a week for a period of approx. ~4 to 6-weeks.
