The Oregon Clinic has an opportunity for an experienced management professional to oversee Quality and Risk Management for our specialty healthcare organization in Portland, Oregon. As a member of the clinic’s senior management team, the Director of Quality and Risk Management is responsible for developing and maintaining the risk management program for the organization, with the objective of maximizing quality care and enhancing patient/employee safety while minimizing liability risks to the clinic. The risk management program includes Safety and Health, Confidentiality, liability insurance, and Quality Improvement areas.
The Director of Quality and Risk Management will develop, implement and socialize policies related to all areas under quality and risk management, gather and analyze extensive quality data and make recommendations to reach this objective.
The Director of Quality and Risk Management will manage and track legal cases and advise on resolving customer complaints, as well as work directly with patients to resolve their concerns.
Successful candidates will have experience in conducting patient care audits, providing safety training, incident response, and exposure protocols.
This position will serve as the Safety Committee liaison, oversee risk staff, and work closely with physicians, operations senior management, and HR.
The Director of Quality and Risk Management reports to the CEO and regularly reports to the board.
Current Registered Nurse license required.
Starting pay range, based on experience: $106,229 - $132,787 per year.

Current Registered Nurse license (will be required to obtain Oregon license upon hire).
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public health policy, or a related clinical or allied health field.
Minimum of three years’ experience in one or more of the following fields: risk management, quality assurance/quality improvement, compliance and safety/health.
Knowledge of QA/QI program management, including statistics, data collection, analysis and recommendation.
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations and accreditation standards relating to compliance and safety/health (OSHA).
Knowledge of basic information technology and computer applications.
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
