The Business Analyst II (Epidemiology) is responsible for gathering data and transforming it into meaningful information that will be used by the Leadership at the Health Plan.This position will analyze trends and patterns of member populations and prepare statistical reports relating to demographics and medical conditions. The information will be used in the development of long term strategic initiatives, operational improvement, meeting regulatory requirements and population health projects. Reporting includes but is not limited to operational volumes, expenses, service utilization, and various quality metrics.
Key points for this position:
Directly interacts with leadership at Driscoll Health Plan (DHP) that covers clinical, financial and operational departments and public health interventions
Reports include operational and quality metrics for DH
Ensures the integrity of project data, including data extraction, processing, storage, manipulation, analysis, data mining and distribution.
Provides programming and querying expertise through the use of (including but not limited to) SQL, Excel Macros, Qlik and Crystal Reports in the development of reports and routines for use of data to meet organizational objectives
Masters in Epidemiology or Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology concentration) strongly desired.
