340B Health has an immediate opening for a Senior Director of Research and Policy Analytics at our growing non-profit health care trade association. This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with senior leaders.
The Senior Director will oversee the research efforts that support 340B Health’s membership and advocacy initiatives. The goal of our research endeavors is to better understand and communicate outcomes and impact, as well as to drive policy initiatives around the 340B program. The Senior Director will serve as 340B Health’s expert on qualitative, quantitative and data-driven questions pertaining to the 340B program. Develop and manage 340B Health’s research agenda, both internal and external, that result in reports for release to the public and policymakers and provides direction for policy development.
Oversee and direct association’s member survey/reports for benchmarking and outcomes purposes, as well as surveys on specific policy issues, as necessary,
Direct outside research consultants, including identifying, hiring, and managing research firms/consultants and ensuring final results are reached
Develop strategic partnerships with other associations, government agencies, and advisors, and coordinate on research endeavors
Maintain database of hospital information from sources such as hospital cost reports and publicly available data from the Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA);
Prepare quarterly reports of HRSA data relating to hospital participation in 340B
Draft whitepapers and research reports from survey results and other research
Analyze and comment on relevant research prepared by outside researchers
Develop and foster research among 340B Health member hospitals
Draft 340B Health blog posts, articles for our member newsletter, and articles for publication in external publications
Organize conference panels for 340B Coalition conference; present at 340B Coalition and other conferences
Manage dedicated budget for research and policy analytics
Required Education and Experience:
Masters degree or higher in public health, healthcare administration, public policy, economics
6-8 years of related experience
Mathematical, statistical and reasoning ability
Plus: knowledge of CMS databases, Medicare cost report data, drug pricing data, and the 340B program
Limited travel required but must help staff our annual national conference in California.
