This position is responsible for all aspects of the Cell Therapy Laboratory. Demonstrating superior proficiency in analysis, quality control and quality assurance operation and evaluation, procedure implementation and maintenance, superior communication skills, customer service, instrument implementation and maintenance along with problem solving, leadership, budgeting and organization/prioritization skills. Collaborates with all members of the health care team to provide quality service to our customers. Always continuing to educate themselves and their teams on new technologies and best practices.
Manages professional or supervisory employees. Hires, trains, conducts performance reviews, and directs the workflow of designated staff.
Makes decisions within approved operating plans and objectives and within functional policies and precedents. May manage budget for large and/or complex projects or programs.
Sets direction and resolves problems. Resolves increasingly complex customer complaints or problems.
Interacts primarily with direct reports, supervisor, customers, peer managers, supervisors peers, patients and physicians.
Bachelors degree in medical technology or clinically related biological science or equivalent education and experience.
ASCP Medical Technologist
Experience with an accredited laboratory including the preparation and execution of successful regulatory audits (CLIA, FDA, FACT, CAP).Experience in Stem Cell or as an MT in a clinical hospital laboratory. Leadership experience.
