340B Health, a Washington, DC based trade association has an opening for a Part-Time Research Assistant.
This is a great opportunity for a graduate student if you are looking to gain more public health, health policy, or public policy experience.
20-30 hours week (approx. 3-4 days/week)
Update and maintain quarterly data on 340B hospital enrollment and contract pharmacy enrollment using 340B OPAIS database.
Update and maintain 340B Health database using hospital cost-report data, Medicare impact file data, OPA data and conduct basic analyses of data, as needed.
Create and update talking points documents on 340B and selected topics, as needed.
Update and maintain database on 340B research that is both supportive and critical of the program, including reading the studies and noting key findings, methodologies, and conclusions.
Conduct basic research on 340B and drug pricing topics and help to compile data for reports, talking points, blogposts, and other communications.
Assist in creation, follow-up, and analysis of 340B Health surveys. This includes making phone calls and sending emails to members to respond to surveys.
Basic Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, basic science, economics, or other related area
Experience working with MS Office products, especially proficient in Word and Excel
Keen interest in healthcare policy and research
Familiarity with 340B drug pricing program and/or drug pricing issues
Experience conducting survey research and/or policy/advocacy research
Current MPH, MPP, or other healthcare-related student
