Providence is calling a full time Financial Analyst to Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA
In this position you will:
Perform various post award financial functions to ensure adherence to federal, state and Providence policies and procedures
Work collaboratively and cooperatively with the entire Finance Research team which includes the Chief Financial Officer, Director of Research Finance, Financial Analysts, Senior Financial Analyst
Work closely with the Regional Director of Clinical Research, the Regional Research Manager, Clinical Research staff, physician-investigators, and external research sponsors
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in a business related discipline (e.g., business Administration, healthcare administration, finance, accounting)
At least 2 years of relevant work experience (e.g. involved with all billing aspects of Industry Sponsor Clinical Trial)
Ability to manage relationships with multiple Principal Investigators and all research staff
Knowledge of the accounting and reporting for Federal and commercial grants, including all pertinent governmental regulations
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret Federal and commercial grant contracts to ensure proper and accurate accounting treatment
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate fiscal information to principal investigators, management, administration, and other large groups
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
At least 1 year of work experience with Federal Grants and Post Award Administration
Working knowledge of applicable federal (A-21, A-110, A-133) and State of California regulations
