The University of Sam Houston State is offering a full time tenue track position. This is for a Department Chair/Associate or Full Professor.
This is a full-time, tenured faculty position. The Department of Counselor Education offers two master’s degrees, 1) MA in Counseling with two tracks – Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling and 2) ME.d in School Counseling. The department also offers a Ph.D in Counselor Education and an undergraduate minor in Human Services. The chair will lead and coordinate strategic planning and curriculum development for the department; manage the budget; evaluate faculty and staff performance; coordinate accreditation and program approval initiatives; teach four courses during the academic year, provide service to the university, community, and profession; actively participate in student recruitment; facilitate professional development programs for faculty and staff; and promote interdepartmental collaboration and communication. In addition, the chair will participate as a member of the executive council for the College of Education
