To be fully engaged in providing high performing non pharmaceutical Sourcing Services to Health First which are focused on No Harm / Quality, Customer Experience, and Stewardship. This position will provide leadership to the Health System in all sourcing activities specific to non-labor expenses of approximately $150M. The individual in this role is responsible for managing the end-to-end activities for supply and purchased services contracting, system-wide procurement activities, and vendor relationship management activities. The System Director of Strategic Sourcing is accountable to the organization for meeting annual targets established for non Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing.Through Value Analysis Teams, ensures supply chain sourcing activities are integrated with quality outcomes to deploy a culture of continuous improvement and patient safety.
Oversees the operational management of supply chain sourcing activities and meets or exceeds the needs of the patient care process.
Establishes measurement and analytical tools as a single source of truth for strategic sourcing and value analysis activities.
Collects and reports information on the financial and service performance for each service line category.
Develops and communicates best practices and supporting policies and procedures to maintain value analysis and sourcing standards across the organization.
Develops and maintains on-going review of Federal, State and Local regulatory compliance as it pertains to contracting and sourcing requirements.
Accountable for the development and effective operation of sourcing services that fully meet and or exceed both internal and external customer expectations.
Leads Supply Chain in the surveillance of customer service satisfaction as obtained through rounding and complaint management to identify opportunities for improvement in the customer experience and gaps between supply chain, service lines and other departments.
Engages with key Leadership and Physician stakeholders regarding cost reduction opportunities around proposed product and service changes.
Develops and implements an internal consulting capability to support value analysis and strategic sourcing needs of internal customers.
Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting, or Health Administration.
Masters of Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in contract administration for purchasing/materials management, preferably in a health care environment
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in purchasing function preferred
Valid Florida Drivers’ license and automobile insurance verification
