JOB DUTIES: The Medical Staff Services and Provider Enrollment Manager is accountable for day-to-day operations of department unit through implementation of strategy, policy, direction and action plans, providing leadership and oversight. The incumbent will manage the ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions of the Medical Staff Services Office.
EXPERIENCE: *5 years experience in the field of medical staff services and/or provider enrollment *2 years recent experience as manager or supervisor of medical staff administration in an acute care /academic hospital setting or a large managed care environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Supports the hospital mission through leadership of the Medical Staff Office advocating for excellence, promoting integration across departments, and utilizing the most up to date credentialing methods.
2.Demonstrates the ability to lead effectively with team members, medical staff, senior management, and employees to ensure proper credentialing and provider enrollment.
3.Partners with hospital and medical staff to promote compliance on all mandatory, regulatory and accrediting requirements.
4.Maintains and incorporates sound judgment and knowledge of federal, state law and regulatory standards impacting medical staff services including but not limited to: CMS, TJC, and NCQA.
5.Responsible for providing comprehensive managerial oversight, support and stewardship including hiring, coaching, counseling, work assignments, budgeting, and evaluations to ensure optimal operations within the Medical Staff Services Office.
EDUCATION: *Bachelors of Science or equivalent *Current Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) with the National Association Medical Staff Services. oMust obtain both certifications within 1year of hire date
