We are looking forPrimary Care Physicians to join our network of outpatientpractitioners. The primary care practice is supported by a designated team of an RN, LPN, and Patient Services Assistant in a Medical Home Model. We have primary care teams in five communities in Southeast Louisiana including New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Slidell, Hammond, and St. John/Reserve.
Consistent high-quality care and efficiency in a friendly patient-centered atmosphere are the operating principles of our practice. We are a leader in establishing multidisciplinary, collaborative care in a medical home model.
Our practitioners use the most advanced and comprehensive electronic medical record system in the country. We provide a broad base of primary care supported by specialties in cardiology, general surgery, gynecology, infectious disease, oncology/outpatient chemotherapy, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain medicine, podiatry, pulmonology, radiology, rehabilitation services, and urology.
We are affiliated with two medical schools, two nursing schools and a school of pharmacy. Frequent interaction with students, residents, and other trainees is the norm.

Inorder to qualify for this position you must meet the following:
Basic Requirements :
Must beproficient in written and spoken English.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Qualifying Factor: Sucessful completion of post graduate residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Practice approved by the Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education or its equivalent.
Preferred Experience: Current Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Physical Requirements: A pre-placement physical examination will be completed prior to appointment to determine the physical and mental fitness of candidates. The examination will be concerned with the mental and physical ability of the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the proposed assignment and will include requisite laboratory and other screening as required by Federal regulatory agencies. Physician applicants must have the mental and physical ability to perform core privileges required by the specialty position in addition to any specialty privileges requested
